We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team in Sheffield. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of effective and efficient occupational therapy services at Sheffield City Council.



The main aim of the service is to maximise people's independence, wellbeing and quality of life within their own homes through the provision of equipment, adaptations and optimised care whilst preventing, reducing and delaying the need for care and support.



The occupational therapy service has recently undergone a significant transformation and improvement program which means it's a great time to join us. We work proactively at the point of referral to provide information, advice and guidance where appropriate, and take a strength-based, proportionate approach to those who need out support.



We are particularly interested in receiving applications from occupational therapists with experience of working with children or have an interest in developing their skills in this area.

Deliver a high-quality occupational therapy service focussed on equipment, adaptations and optimised care to adults and children with disabilities.



Ensure compliance with relevant local and national legislation, policy, and guidance.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:





Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (Or equivalent)



Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).



Proven experience in a similar role.



Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policy.



Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
