Job Description


Barchester Healthcare have six independent mental health hospitals across England, and we are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work with individuals with enduring mental health illness and behaviour that may challenge across two of our hospitals. This role can be either full time or part time, working around your commitments, and will require travel across England.

We provide treatment and care under the provision of the Mental Health Act, DoLS, or as an informal patient. Treatment, therapy goals, and care pathways are formulated, delivered, and reviewed by a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team.

Required experience and qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience of working in mental health settings is desirable although mentorship will be provided
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to stay away from home

The candidate will fulfil the role of qualified Occupational Therapist and also play an active hands-on role in planning and delivering therapeutic activities within the hospitals.
