Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist for our Worthing Care Home who will deliver a person centred approach which enables and promotes independence and supports positive quality of life. You will provide direct occupational therapy input to residents, working closely with the Physiotherapists and wider team.

Main duties

To provide comprehensive assessment of residents, using an individualised goal setting and holistic approach to demonstrate outcomes. Train and empower the staff team to deliver occupational therapy interventions identified in the individualised care plan, Enable and support residents to maximise their potential holistically through rehabilitation and enablement Share knowledge, experience and best practice throughout the team, including raising awareness of good practice occupational therapy techniques Oversee the management and servicing of identified therapy equipment. To be proactive in risk assessing residents for personal hygiene needs and advising staff team accordingly Participate in relevant audit processes, evaluation and implementing ongoing service change to order to meet residents needs To liaise with the community team / services and hospital discharge team to support external services for our residents. To participate in local OT forums / groups to keep up to date and share best practice. Support regulatory compliance, in accordance with Care for Veterans policies, appropriate legislation and guidance stipulated by regulatory bodies.

Pay: 42,000.00 per year
