Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to be part of a small team in an innovative Independent Living House providing advice on equipment and digital solutions for day to day living.




We are looking for someone with a keen interest in technology with a willingness to improve knowledge.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?

You would be part of the Equipment Advice Service who are a small team based in the Independent Living House, Spennymoor.




You will provide information and advice to people with regard to purchasing/hiring equipment, including digital solutions, which enables independence and quality of life. This could be provided by visiting the Independent Living House, email or telephone.

WHAT WILL I NEED?

You will need a minimum of 5 GCSEs including English Language (904/A-C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification.




Experience working with people either in a customer focussed environment or in a caring role (work can be in a voluntary or paid capacity) is needed, also of working within a team and working with people with a disability.




You will have a logical and practical approach to problem solving, with effective communication skills, good interpersonal skills, a proactive approach and good digital skills.

INTERVIEWS

Interviews are expected to be held on Friday 7 November.
