We are recruiting for a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our North Oxfordshire Adult Learning Disability team .
We are a specialist service supporting adults with learning disabilities in Oxfordshire, to maintain good mental and physical health when their needs cannot be met by other health services.
You'll be working with the friendly and supportive OT team as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team. We are seeking someone who is interested working with people with learning disabilities and keen to learn and develop in the role. You'll be conducting routine interventions and assessments under supervision from an OT during client home visits, as well as providing administrative support to the Adult Learning Disability Team. You'll need a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for this role as travel will be required to client homes across Oxfordshire.

Independently plan and carry out routine occupational therapy intervention and basic assessments with clients under direct supervision from OTs.
Evaluate OT interventions delegated by the OT
Provide administrative support to the occupational therapy team with the development of occupational therapy resources, and preparation of materials for intervention.
The post holder will work under the supervision of OTs, as a member of the Adult Learning Disability team to:
Support the occupational therapy team with the facilitation of therapeutic groups.
Support the occupational therapy team with training sessions at local day centres and with care provider teams.
To be an active member of the adult learning disability team, recording and updating clinical records and sharing information with the multidisciplinary team
