The main aim of the service is to maximise people's independence, wellbeing and quality of life within their own homes through the provision of equipment and adaptations preventing, reducing and delaying the need for care and support.



The occupational therapy service has recently undergone a significant transformation and improvement program which means it's a great time to join us. We work proactively at the point of referral to provide information, advice and guidance where appropriate, and take a strength-based, proportionate approach to those who need our support.

Brief outline of responsibilities:





Deliver a high-quality service as part of the Occupational Therapy and Adapted Housing team by, completing thorough assessments and case notes, recommending and prescribing equipment and adaptations, reviewing your interventions and ensuring compliance with local and national legislation, policy and guidance relevant to the role.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.



If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
