The Occupational Therapy Clinical Support Worker role includes facilitation of occupational assessments and interventions on a one to one basis, for example Cooking skills sessions, identifying meaningful activities and planning purposeful routines and occupational interventions in groups, for example Cooking, Relaxation, Creative, Healthy Lifestyles, to meet Patients' occupational performance / recovery needs as identified by the Occupational Therapist.
Regaining / maintaining / developing Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills which can decrease during a hospital admission.
Facilitating Patients to re-engage / maintain interests and activities in relation to their recovery.
Facilitating engagement in identified purposeful roles.
Facilitating Patients to achieve occupational goals they have identified.
Facilitating Patients' integration into the community.
It is important that you have good communication skills both verbal and written skills for liaison with service users, their families, colleagues and other agencies.
General computer and administration skills are also required to support the running of the service.
Ability to network with other community services is essential in assisting service user's smooth integration into the community, for example, accessing community resources.
Your skills will be developed through Clinical Supervision, Management Supervision and Training opportunities.

Main responsibilities as set out above You would be part of a supportive and friendly Multi-disciplinary team with opportunities to work in collaboration with colleagues including: Occupational Therapist, Activity Worker, Nurses, Doctors, Social Workers, Psychologist, Discharge Support Worker and community practitioners to support Patients in their recovery.
