This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Occupational Therapy manager or experienced Occupational Therapist to join Cheshire East Council's adult social care service as the permanent Practice Manager of the Occupational Therapy community team. Based at Delamere house the successful candidate will be managing a team of Occupational Therapists and OT social care assessors.



The role of the Practice Manager is varied, rewarding and challenging and this is an opportunity for an individual with sufficient experience to lead an efficient and effective team. As a Practice Manager you will be responsible for budgetary, staffing and performance issues and will need an ability to deal with complex decision-making under pressure. You will have extensive experience of supporting both adults and children with OT needs and knowledge of both legislative frameworks, including DFG legislation. An ability to work effectively with partnership organisations is essential.

The successful candidate will require extensive post qualifying experience ideally in an adult social care setting, with knowledge of relevant legislation and local policies and procedures. Experience of managing complex cases and effective partnership working is essential.



You will also need to work as part of a team within the wider Management Team to ensure consistent and effective practice. Full support and assistance will be offered but it is expected that you will increasingly be able to demonstrate the ability and the confidence to make decisions independently.



The successful applicants will need to have knowledge of asset and strengths-based practices to support the team to deliver an efficient service. The appointed manager will need to be able to manage pressures, change, be adaptable and innovative in their approach to the delivery of services whilst been able to encourage, support and promote change.
