Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Technical Instructor to join the Paediatric Occupational Therapy team working with children, young people and adults experiencing sensory processing difficulties. The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of a new service within the Paediatric OT team in North Tyneside.



Experience of working in community settings is desirable but not essential.



The successful candidate will work with families, carers, health and social care services, schools and nurseries in a variety of community settings carrying out OT interventions as directed by an OT. School and home based assessments will include environmental assessment for equipment and minor adaptations; consequently the postholder will need to meet transport requirements of the post.

You will be supporting the occupational therapists in the team with their assessments and interventions by working with people and their support networks to achieve individualised goals. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate good communication and problem solving skills and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. Time is prioritised in our service for formal supervision and daily support and advice.
