The role is to support the commercial activities' of Techion UK ltd which is part of the New Zealand based Techion Group. Techion UK sell online diagnostic equipment and tests to the agricultural and veterinary industries in the UK and Europe, and the business is growing to cover a range of species and tests. In addition, Techion are involved in many research project's as well as providing consultancy and advisory services. This autumn, Techion will launch a pioneering new product and resulting tests, representing a significant advancement and driving notable business growth. The anticipation within the company is considerable, as this innovation is expected to substantially influence the future direction of Techion's operations and client services.
Techion is seeking an individual with strong organisational skills who is prepared to participate in various aspects of processes related to its products and services. As a small team, we require members who can multitask effectively and adapt quickly to changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Immediate Core Responsibilities
Note: The responsibilities outlined apply to the temporary administrative support position. Candidates with more experience may have the opportunity for the role to transition into a senior permanent administrator position with greater leadership and oversight responsibilities.
Providing strong support to the General Manager and wider office / operations team.
Part of a small team responsible for delivering general administrative tasks, including:
o Answer and redirecting phone calls, respond to emails, and handle correspondence.
o Maintenance of client and leads records using the CRM system (HubSpot).
o Register new clients by preparing Zendesk tickets to assign hardware.
o Coordinating assembly of our core products - FECPAK hardware and postal testing kits.
o Dispatch of goods to clients from our Shopify store and any FECPAK test kit sales.
o Assembly of testing packs for core project work.
o Generate reports for projects and services
o Monitor and update stock inventory to ensure inventory levels are maintained.
o Mailshot, post, booking accommodation and travel/event tickets.
Provide admin assistance for the coordination of marketing activities:
o Support the delivery of UK marketing plan
o Update marketing budget
o Shows/Events management
o Marketing activities are managed between the NZ Marketing team and UK Sales team and use the services of a social media contractor.
Liaise with external contracted bookkeeper / accountant.
Liaising with counterparts in the Techion team in New Zealand
Maintains rapport with customers, managers, and employees by arranging continuing contacts.
Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Outlook/Word/Excel
Administrative Writing Skills
Managing Processes
Filing / organisation
Confident and professional phone manner
The ability to speak Welsh would be advantageous but not essential
Some background of livestock / veterinary knowledge would be useful but not essential
Salary:
Competitive, based on experience, with a group pension scheme.
