JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Administrator

Responsible to: Director/proprietor and Home Manager

Job purpose:- To be responsible for supporting the director/proprietor and home manager within the care home.

SKILLS, KNOWLEGDE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Perfect Sage Accounts Software & Book Keeping - mandatory !!!

Good numerical and word processing skills Knowledge / experience of MS word and MS Excel Good communication and organizational skills Friendly, confident, well presented and customer focused Genuine interest in working within a caring environment An appreciation for the need of confidentiality Team player Ability to work on own initiative Satisfactory DBS check and references NVQ level 2 Business Administration and above
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the director/proprietor and home manager within the care home. To carry audits of stock items and purchasing of stationary and cleaning chemicals. To update the training where required, ensuring all evidence of training is documented. To set up new starters applying for DBS and references, ensuring all relevant documentation on file, and carry out monthly staff file audits to meet compliance To set up new residents financial files to include contracts. To carry out reconciliations of monies for personal allowance, comfort fund and petty cash. Ensure and maintain accurate and complete financial records of the care home using the computer and manual systems. To keep accounts up to date within sage e.g. aged debt / purchase ledger Participate in staff and residents meetings and take minutes.
MARKETING

Actively market the care home and promote a positive personal / professional profile within the local community, ensuring the good reputation of the care home at all times. Show visitors around the care home when required. Prepare and display information, leaflets and posters and send out brochures as and when required.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT

Attend mandatory training day/curses on or off site as and when required. Maintain professional knowledge and competence.
COMMUNCATION

Act courteously toward residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident and ensure effective communication is maintained. Participate in Staff and Client meetings as and when required. To ensure manager is informed of any issues or concerns regarding residents, staff members and building.
OTHER DUTIES

Always act in a manner which respects and promotes the confidentiality of Service Users, Staff and any other involved parties. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures You may be required to perform other duties within your capacity, according to the needs of the business. To ensure confidentiality is promoted and kept at all times in line with GDPR.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Permanent
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: 12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 96 per week
