Job Summary


Chichester Counselling Services (CCS) is a well-established local charity providing affordable psychodynamic counselling and professional counsellor training. We are seeking a warm, organised, and reliable Office Administrator to support the day-to-day running of our busy counselling service.

This is a permanent, part-time role (Tuesday to Friday) with the potential for occasional additional hours. The postholder will provide a sensitive and professional front-of-house service, respond to client enquiries, and deliver high-quality administrative and office management support. You will work closely with the CEO, Finance Manager, and Counselling team.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative experience, excellent interpersonal skills, high attention to detail, and a clear understanding of confidentiality and professional boundaries. An interest in counselling or mental health is desirable.

Key Responsibilities



Provide a warm, professional front-of-house service to clients, visitors and enquirers, responding promptly and sensitively while maintaining confidentiality and safe working practices. Manage day-to-day office and facilities operations, including room readiness, contractor liaison, equipment maintenance, health and safety checks, and ordering supplies. Maintain oversight of renewal dates for policies, certificates and service contracts. Provide administrative support to the CEO and Finance Manager, and occasional support to Training Management, including organising meetings, events and publicity. Support the onboarding of staff, volunteer counsellors and students, and maintain accurate electronic filing systems. Provide administrative support to counselling operations, including responding to client enquiries, booking assessments, maintaining the client management system (FileMaker), and managing file closure, filing and archiving. Handle cash securely in line with organisational financial procedures, including ad-hoc banking.

Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 30 per week
