Overview:



We are seeking an experienced and highly organised

Office Administrator

to provide comprehensive administrative support across all departments within our construction business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office, supporting teams including Plant Hire, Buying, Commercial, and Health & Safety. This is a pivotal position requiring excellent communication, coordination, and multitasking abilities.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide full administrative and clerical support to all departments. Manage telephone calls, emails, and correspondence in a professional and timely manner. Assist the Plant Hire department with hire scheduling, documentation, and supplier coordination. Help manage site contact lists, vehicle lists and other Excel worksheets. Support the Buying team with purchase orders, supplier management, and record keeping. Assist the Commercial team with general enquiries, document filing, and reporting. Provide administrative assistance to the Health & Safety team, maintaining accurate compliance records and documentation. Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Organise and maintain office files, supplies, and general administrative systems. Coordinate meetings, appointments, and manage calendars and diaries as and when required. Liaise with staff, suppliers, and clients to support efficient communication and workflow.

Skills & Experience Required:



Proven experience in a similar administrative role, ideally within the construction industry. Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Professional, approachable, and adaptable attitude.

Desirable:



Familiarity with construction industry processes, documentation, and terminology. Experience supporting multiple departments simultaneously.

Working Hours:



Full-time, Monday to Friday. Permanent
