Overview



Could this be you? Cain Bio-Engineering works with a variety of clients to design and build environmentally sensitive river restorations and wetlands. Since 2003 we've been improving the UK waterways metre by metre. We are expanding and looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the administrative team.

This is an office based permanent, full-time position (40 hours), but part time work may also be considered and there is some flexibility on hours.

You would be working in our lovely office on the edge of the New Forest, just north of Fordingbridge.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys multitasking, prioritising workloads, and being a key part of a close-knit team.

We've listed a wide range of responsibilities that we would like you to contribute to. There will be inhouse training to bring the right candidate up to speed if a few areas need brushing up.

Main purpose of job



To carry out the administrative tasks that support the main consultancy and construction work of the company as required.

Position in organisation



Reports directly to the Office Manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



General office administration duties including welcoming visitors, answering phone

lines, maintaining office supplies etc

Working with the team to organise premises and equipment maintenance

Assisting with HR administration

Maintaining the company's purchase order system, liaising with suppliers and ensuring

appropriate approval of purchases and accuracy of invoices.

Preparing customer invoices and maintaining contract records

Assist with bookkeeping as required.

Assist with Health and Safety administrative tasks

Assist in maintaining the Quality Environmental Management System including

reviewing and auditing policies and procedures.

Ensuring work complies with internal procedures and quality standards.

Support the administration team with other ad hoc duties as required

Essential requirements:



Energetic and confident self-starter with a positive attitude and work ethic

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a friendly and professional

approach in communications.

Able to work as part of a team but also use own initiative where appropriate

Able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.

Have a high level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

Be practical and good at problem solving

A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel

Have GCSE Maths or above, and be confident with basic mental maths

Reliability and discretion: you will often learn of confidential matters.

Demonstrate previous successful experience in office administration or similar

environment

Desirable but not essential



Bookkeeping Experience

Experience of administrative involvement with Health and Safety Systems

Experience of co-ordinating Quality Management Systems.
