Rokers Animal Feeds, Equestrian & Country Store is a large independent retailer dedicated to providing an exceptional retail experiences for our customers. We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to play a pivotal role in the business. The successful candidate will ensure that all stock is booked correctly onto the system, maintain optimised pricing, and support marketing and merchandising efforts .
This role reports to the Office Manager, and the key responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
Invoice Management:
Verify the accuracy of invoices for goods received, resolve discrepancies with suppliers, and ensure credits are obtained for missing or damaged goods.
Pricing:
Take responsibility for in-store pricing, including running regular reports, checking for anomalies, and ensuring that profit margins are met.
Customer Service:
Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries via phone, email, or social media.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to optimise supply chain performance.
Stock Control:
Oversee accurate stock levels in the EPOS system. This involves booking-in goods, conducting stock counts, and investigating discrepancies.
Reporting:
Compile ad hoc reports (e.g., pricing, stock, and sales) to assist the General Manager, using an analytical approach to assess performance.
Store Merchandising:
Manage in-store merchandising, ensuring displays, signage, and the overall store appearance adhere to brand standards. This includes creating posters and implementing new and improved POS display solutions.
Social Media:
Assist with the creation and management of engaging content across all social media platforms.
Experience Required
A minimum of 3 years' experience in an office administrative role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong financial acumen and an understanding of product pricing and profit margins, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and work under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Trello).
Preferred - Solid understanding of brand identity and experience with design software tools (e.g., Illustrator, Canva or similar) for creating posters, signage, and digital assets.
Preferred -Proven experience in marketing, including digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and campaign execution.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm.
