Role Overview



The newly created position of Porlock Vale CIC Administrator is essential for supporting the Centre Manager with a variety of administrative responsibilities. Porlock Vale CIC, the organisation managing the Porlock Information Centre, is undertaking a range of new and exciting initiatives. To facilitate this growth, we are seeking to hire a reliable, proactive, and welcoming individual to join our team.

Main Responsibilities



Working collaboratively with the Centre Manager and other team members, the Administrator will serve as the driving force that ensures the smooth operation of our organisation. This hands-on role integrates Information Centre duties, organisational systems and processes, and aspects of community development.

Support Porlock Vale CIC's continued growth as a vibrant, sustainable, professional, and forward-thinking organisation serving both residents and local businesses.

Assist in building and maintaining the membership (subscription) model.

Ensure the Information Centre remains a central part of the community.

Key Responsibilities



1. Administration systems and procedures



Work with the Project Manager to develop a first class, local Micro-provider service building connections between health and care providers, community learning partners, and local authorities. Set up new administrative procedures for Micro-providers to ensure policies and governance are strictly adhered to. Administer community membership model engaging local residents, families, and businesses, and confidently selling subscription options and sponsorship opportunities. Work with the Project Manager and Micro-Provider lead to build and maintain strong relationships with social prescribers, micro-providers, and local groups, ensuring effective referral and signposting pathways. Support the development and operation of the new community phone line Assist Porlock Vale CICwith the organisation at community events, local meetings, and outreach activities, promoting its services and ethos. Collect and input data to track engagement, referrals, and outcomes. Contribute to reports, case studies, and evaluation materials that demonstrate social impact.

2. Information Centre and team support



Work as an active member of the Information Centre team, supporting front-of-house service. Assist staff at events, and community activities. Contribute to staff coordination and communication, helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations are run efficiently and to high standards.

3. Marketing, membership and communications



Lead on promoting and expanding Porlock Vale CICmembership (subscription) model for the Micro-provider Network and the membership of Porlock Vale CIC and building relationships with local individuals, groups, and businesses. Manage membership records, monitor progress, and report on membership growth and engagement. Support marketing campaigns and community storytelling through social media, printed materials, and Centre promotions. Ability to work to and achieve KPI/targets.

4. Safeguarding, support and signposting



Act as a friendly, compassionate first point of contact for people seeking help or connection. Listen and respond appropriately, setting boundaries and referring individuals to relevant services. Participate in training for community support, safeguarding, and signposting.
