Job Description


Vacancy for OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR encompassing a wide variety of duties within an established bespoke joinery company. You would need to be flexible yet organised in your approach and adapt to daily changes as they happen. A good knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook is essential. Some training will be given but you would need to be confident in communicating electronically, written and verbally: Your duties would include but are not limited to administration in the following areas:

  • Emails \xe2\x80\x93 Monitor inboxes, produce paper and electronic files.
  • Diary/Appointments/Absences \xe2\x80\x93 Maintain paper and electronic diary/calendar.
  • Sales \xe2\x80\x93 Set up and maintain files used by Management, Production and Accounts. Produce & file sales estimates, check to orders received, print, record & file drawings
  • Purchase \xe2\x80\x93 Place purchase orders as required, check deliveries are correct to invoices and report queries.
  • Health & Safety/ Training \xe2\x80\x93 Work alongside an external consultant to ensure all records comply with legislation and routine inspections/services are completed.
  • Vehicles \xe2\x80\x93 Maintain vehicle register/ files with upcoming servicing, repairs etc.
  • General Administration \xe2\x80\x93 Produce and file various reports / memos as required.
You would need to utilise the following skills throughout all processes: - Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Provide clerical support such as filing, photocopying, and scanning documents
- Utilize computerized systems and software to complete tasks efficiently
- Type and proofread documents, reports, and correspondence
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Handle incoming calls and emails with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette
- Proven experience in an administrative role
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office , especially Excel Spreadsheets
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with office procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. You will be required to prioritise your own work to meet any deadlines required. Start Date: a.s.a.p The position will initially shadow an employee who is retiring, hours may increase in due course. The position will be permanent following a review at 6 months from your start date. Hours:
  • Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Thu 9am \xe2\x80\x93 4pm (with 1hr lunch break 12.00pm to 1.00pm)
  • Fri 9am -1.30pm (no lunch break)
Pay rate:
  • meets Minimum / Living wage. Negotiable on experience.
