As School Office Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the smooth running of the school office and ensuring that the day-to-day administrative needs of the school are met efficiently and effectively. You will be the first point of contact for staff, students, parents, and visitors, helping to create a welcoming and professional environment. Your responsibilities will be varied, requiring excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide general administrative support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team, and staff.
Answer and direct phone calls, manage emails, and handle enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
Maintain student attendance records and liaise with staff and parents as needed.
Assist with the preparation of school correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and events within the school.
Process student admissions and transfers, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
Handle confidential information with discretion and in accordance with GDPR regulations.
Assist with the organisation of school events, parent meetings, and other activities.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
A proactive and positive attitude, with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
A flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing needs.
