Nice Work organises over 150 running events a year across the UK and is home to a busy, friendly team based in Rye, East Sussex. We're looking for an organised, and proactive Office Administrator to support our growing company. This is a hands-on and varied role ideal for someone who thrives on being a hub of activity, and enjoys working across a range of projects.
About the Role
You'll be a self-starter who can work independently but enjoys being part of a team. You'll need to juggle tasks across different departments, stay organised and maintain strong communication. In return, you'll be supported, trained and made to feel part of a close-knit group who are passionate about what we do.
Works closely with:
All office teams including, Directors, Finance, Operations, Marketing, Communications, Fulfilment and NW Supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
General Administration
- Act as the first point of contact for the business, ensuring enquiries are managed professionally and followed up promptly.
- Manage incoming communications, including phone calls, emails, post and couriers.
- Greet visitors and new starters; support with onboarding as needed.
- Maintain office supplies and ensure timely ordering, invoicing and payments.
- Coordinate travel and accommodation for the race team.
- Manage the info@ email account and customer enquiries.
Marketing & Communications
- Assist with social media posts for Nice Work and NW-Supplies.
- Respond to Racecheck reviews post-event.
- Help promote races to running clubs and build relationships with them.
- Support the creation and coordination of email communications to runners.
- Maintain and update event webpages using our in-house CRM.
- Coordinate external listing sites and help book race photographers.
Operational Support
- Assist with van maintenance, paperwork and scheduling servicing.
- Help with packing vans, maintaining stock and organising race pack fulfilment.
- Attend races on weekends occasionally to support event delivery.
- Assist with the recruitment, communication and coordination of volunteers and marshals.
- Track and report on participation trends and help manage reports for partners.
Team Engagement
- Organise in-house staff activities and celebrations.
- Support across departments and assist with ad hoc duties as needed.
Who We're Looking For
- Someone highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Friendly and approachable, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- IT-literate and comfortable learning new systems (full training will be provided).
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
