We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented administrator and bookkeeper to join our team to cover maternity leave. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts using Xero software.
Duties
Maintain accurate financial records using our accounting software Xero.
Process accounts payable and assist with invoicing and payment tracking.
Process staff salaries and additional hours using Xero
Ensure all staff and volunteers submit timely receipts for expenses
Support the preparation of financial reports and assist with budget management as needed.
Handle correspondence, both written and verbal, ensuring timely communication withsuppliers, contractors and agencies, staff, volunteers, service users and the wider public
Experience
Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a finance or accounting environment.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial record keeping.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients.
Experience of working in the voluntary sector or a small dedicated team
