Job Summary



Falkirk District Credit Union are looking for an enthusiastic person to join their team within their main office in Grangemouth to assist in the day to day running of the Credit Union. This position involves a range of tasks including clerical duties, administrative support, customer service, and basic financial transactions. The Office Assistant contributes to the running of the office and delivering exceptional service to our members.

20 hours per week @ 12.80 per hour



Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am - 2.30pm



Possibility of extra hours in future

Responsibilities



Provide administrative support to board/staff within the credit union

Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, scanning documents and processing loans.

Assist in the processing of member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.

Respond to member enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly.

Essential requirements



Minimum of 1 year's office experience preferably in a financial workplace

Strong numeracy and literacy skills

Excellent customer service and communication skills (face to face and telephone)

Awareness and understanding of Credit Unions

Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times

Effective time management skills, able to work independently and as part of a team

IT literacy, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and responsibilities

Professional approach to handling difficult situations

Financial awareness and understanding of basic financial procedures

Cash handling experience

Desirable



Experience or interest in using social media for business Willingness to learn and adapt, with training provided on in-house IT systems
