Job Overview

We are seeking a Office Cleaner to maintain a clean and hygienic environment within our office and laboratory premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all office and lab areas are tidy, sanitary, and presentable, contributing to a professional and welcoming atmosphere. Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is not essential. This role would be ideally suited for a retiree seeking a few hours of work a week.

Duties

Clean and disinfect all office surfaces, including desks, tables, and workstations Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors across various office areas Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels as needed Maintain cleanliness of communal areas such as kitchens and break rooms Ensure restrooms are hygienic and well-stocked at all times Report any maintenance issues or damages to management promptly Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is advantageous but not mandatory Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Reliable with a good work ethic and punctuality Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting light equipment and standing for extended periods A positive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
