Job Summary


We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Office Coordinator to join our team at St Laurence's Church & Wellness Hub. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and a keen attention to detail, ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. This role is pivotal in supporting daily office functions, managing communications, and maintaining organisational systems.

Responsibilities



Managing current booking system, logistics & room hire Publicising services and events on social media Producing monthly operational update covering all logistical details of special activities and services Answering general enquiries, taking messages and directing visitors to appropriate contact, keeping a pastoral awareness at all times Dealing with daily emails and phone calls (including answerphone) Producing the weekly Pew News and weekly rota Maintaining office supplies Maintaining spreadsheets for funerals, baptisms and weddings Updating Parish Database and liaising regularly with Electoral Roll Officer Supporting the work of a large volunteer team as required, especially in the area of hospitality rotas Ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times. This includes managing both online and paper documents in an appropriate way and having a working knowledge of GDPR compliance and practice. Being responsible for contributing towards a safe, secure healthy working environment Promoting and fostering St Laurence`s reputation and standing within the community Being part of the 'Staff Member on Site' rota when the Taste Cafe operates Undertaking any other duties which may be reasonably required

Experience



Previous office experience is essential, with a background in administrative roles being highly desirable. Proficient computer skills are required, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) applications - Sharepoint advantageous but not necessary Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Experience in data entry and clerical work is advantageous.
Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: 15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Chorley, PR7 1EB
