We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented
Office Manager / Bookkeeper
to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of our office. The successful candidate will ensure a smooth-running environment, provide support across departments, and handle bookkeeping duties with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. Experience with
Xero
accounting software and
BrightPay
payroll processing is essential.
Working Hours & Salary
Working hours:
9:00 AM - 3:00 PM or 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday (25 to 30 hours per week)
Salary range:
400 - 550 per week, depending on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily office operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
Perform general administrative tasks including document preparation, data entry, filing, and scheduling.
Supervise and support office staff, promoting a cooperative and professional team environment.
Maintain office supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Answer and direct phone calls and correspondence in a courteous and professional manner.
Coordinate HR functions such as onboarding new hires and maintaining employee records.
Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using
Xero
, including invoicing, bank reconciliation, and expense tracking.
Process payroll using
BrightPay
, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payroll regulations.
Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes as needed.
Develop, implement, and maintain office procedures and policies to enhance productivity and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in office management and bookkeeping roles.
Proficiency in
Xero
accounting software is required.
Experience processing payroll using
BrightPay
.
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support a small team effectively.
Solid understanding of HR practices and general office protocols.
Professional, proactive, and capable of working independently.
