Job Description

Do you have experience in system maintenance and development, or work in HR and Payroll and are looking for a new challenge? Do you have a combination of technical expertise and the ability to problem solve? Do you have experience of building and running reports, ideally using ResourceLink Reporting Services or Power BI, to support with providing quality data? Are you enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a passion for providing excellent service? Do you have great communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of customers, both within and outside of the Council?



Look no further! We have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Officer to join our team here at Xentrall HR Services, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.



Xentrall HR Services delivers comprehensive Payroll and Recruitment support to both Stockton and Darlington Borough Councils, as well as to a wide network of schools and academies.



The Systems Team is responsible for delivering system strategy, implementation, development, and maintenance across HR and payroll services.



This includes providing accurate and timely workforce data to internal and external customers.

Working closely with internal customers such as the Payroll, Pensions, Recruitment and Improvement teams to support all users and ensure smooth running of the service.



What Youll Do:


Support the development and delivery of system improvements and enhancements. Maintain and support HR system, including training users and liaising with software suppliers. Contribute to Systems enhancements projects. Promote a positive workforce culture focused on excellent customer service and continuous improvement.



We are keen to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:


Educated to NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have the equivalent experience Experience to maintain and develop significant systems Strong IT skills Report writing experience Experience in HR, Payroll or ICT related roles or systems Ability to deliver project objectives to a successful conclusion Excellent customer service skills and experience Good communication skills and the ability to develop excellent working relationships with a wide range of people Able to prioritise work and work effectively towards meeting deadlines Strong team-working ethos
