Job Summary:


The Offshore Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing offshore construction activities, including piling, reinforced concrete works, steel fabrication, and ancillary tasks for pier and jetty projects. This role ensures that construction operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project plans and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:


Supervision of Offshore Works:

Oversee all offshore construction activities, including piling, steel works, reinforced concrete structures, and other ancillary operations. Ensure that all works are executed according to project specifications, engineering designs, and quality standards. Coordinate and direct work crews, subcontractors, and equipment operators to maintain productivity and meet deadlines.


Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW)with Environmental Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to HSW policies and procedures for offshore operations. Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and risk assessments for all offshore activities, in conjunction with the HSW department. Identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate risks. Follow the CEMP, MMO and Immingham Port regulations Ensure that the all the marine operations are in in line with the DCO


Project Coordination:

Liaise with the project management team, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment of offshore construction activities. Monitor and adjust schedules, work plans, and resource allocations to maintain progress. Ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and resources to offshore locations.


Technical Oversight:

Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and method statements to guide construction activities. Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to address challenges in piling, concrete pouring, and steel assembly. Supervise the installation and alignment of structural components, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


Quality Assurance:

Inspect and monitor work to ensure adherence to quality standards and rectify non-conformities. Ensure proper curing of concrete, secure piling installations, and precise steelwork assembly. Maintain detailed records of work progress and quality checks for reporting purposes.


Emergency Response and Incident Management:

Prepare and implement emergency response plans for offshore operations. Lead incident investigations and provide comprehensive reports with recommendations for improvement.


Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of offshore construction activities, including daily logs, progress updates, and workforce deployment. Submit detailed reports to project management, highlighting progress, challenges, and potential risks.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

Act as a Safety Coordinator Act as temporary work supervisor Must always work self and crew 100% safely leading by example. Deliver regular tool box talk briefings to the site team covering appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental issues and ensure records of these briefings are maintained. Ensure daily and weekly checks are carried out and all records are up to date. Monitor sub contract works and ensure subcontract works are being delivered in line with the relevant RAMS

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

Extensive experience as a Supervisor in offshore construction, with a focus on piling, reinforced concrete, steel fabrication, and marine ancillary works. Strong knowledge of offshore construction methods, equipment, and safety protocols. Ability to interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications. Familiarity with marine construction standards and regulations. Proven leadership skills to manage diverse offshore teams effectively. Certifications: Offshore survival training (e.g., BOSIET or STCW), and relevant safety certifications or professional experience CSCS AND SSSTS Leadership on working crews (workers, subcontractors, rented equipment, etc.). Previous experience is required. Experience in organizing activities, work shifts, etc. Capacity of coordination between the different activities performed by the employees. Knowledge in preparing daily progress reports and daily production reports. Capacity to schedule downtime periods due to routine maintenance. Capacity to provide estimates of production outputs. Ability to take responsibility to train new workers and teach them how to handle properly pieces of equipment that are available to them. Capacity of dealing with subcontractors, inspectors, technical assistance and with the client. Knowledge in quarry materials and its specifications (quality, size, shape, etc.), and criteria in order to accept/refuse these materials. Experience in construction activities involving cranes: load lifting activities (by means of a crane) and other crane operations. Experience in maritime works, especially involved placing material to the sea (e.g.: breakwaters, quays, seafront promenades, etc.) Accredited use in mobile equipment (e.g.: loaders, excavators, rising platforms, etc.) * Relevant experience as an Offshore construction Supervisor on marine projects
