Offshore Mechanical Technicians - Full Time, Permanent
ITC Hydraulic Services Ltd have an opportunity for Offshore Mechanical Technicians on a full-time basis to join their team, based at Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire. We are looking for someone who is a confident and well organised individual who can manage a busy workload and are able to work on their own and within a team.
Candidates should have a mechanical background with at least 5 years' experience to assist with the continued growth of the company. Good reporting and academic skills are also required.
Successful candidates MUST possess the following essential skills:
A relevant qualification and/or be Time Served in a hydraulic/mechanical technician role.
Up to date offshore certification and passport.
Strong hydraulic and mechanical aptitude, with hands-on experience in maintenance testing, and repairs.
Experience in running hydraulic equipment offshore, such as HPU's, Reels, Flushing Units, Sheers and Grabs.
Experience in carrying out routine maintenance on rotating equipment.
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and mechanical drawings with accuracy.
Experience in pipefitting and hose manufacturing.
Proficiency in pump and motor rebuilds.
Proven ability to compile detailed, high-standard service reports.
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
Strong organisational abilities, with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
A positive attitude, cheerful disposition, and willingness to support others.
A strong team player who also works well independently.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Ensure the safe operation of offshore equipment
Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of all offshore equipment.
Assist with the testing and mobilisation of equipment prior to going offshore or on site.
Complete job documentation thoroughly and consistently.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and other external parties when required to support project delivery.
Deliver high-quality repairs and overhauls on hydraulic and mechanical equipment in line with ITC work packs and customer specifications.
Interpret and work from hydraulic and mechanical drawings, both for diagnostics
and system builds
Compile accurate and detailed service reports to a high standard.
Take full responsibility for the quality of your own work while assisting and
mentoring other technicians as needed.
Ensure strict compliance with health and safety requirements, both in the workshop
and when working on customer premises (onshore or offshore).
Represent the company positively and professionally, maintaining our commitment
to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Be available to travel and work offshore or remotely at short notice.
Actively contribute to HSQE initiatives and maintain a strong focus on safety and
compliance at all times.
Employment Details/Benefits:
Your employment is based on the assumption that you will work a minimum of 182 days per annum, however there is no guarantee of this number of days offshore.
In return you will receive a competitive salary based on experience, along with a daily offshore allowance. When there is a requirement to work in the workshop, this will be paid at 50% daily allowance. You will be entitled to 28 days pro-rata annual leave, medical cover, Death in Service and a company pension.
