We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Manager to oversee the daily operations of our specialised children's care facility. This leadership role requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in children's homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Previous experience in children's care, challenging behaviour and medication administration is highly desirable. Duties
Lead and supervise a team of care staff, ensuring delivery of high-quality care tailored to each child's needs
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans in collaboration with families, healthcare professionals, and multidisciplinary teams
Oversee medication administration procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and legal requirements
Manage day-to-day operations within the care home or home care setting, including staffing schedules and resource allocation
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care provided, implementing improvements where necessary
Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation
Provide leadership during audits and inspections to uphold regulatory standards
Support staff development through training programmes centred on Children's care.
Foster a warm, welcoming environment that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being for all children in our care
Requirements
Previously been registered with Ofsted.
Proven management or supervising experience within assisted living, nursing homes, or similar settings specialising in senior or child care
Experience in developing and overseeing personalised care plans for children requiring complex support needs
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and compliance documentation
Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to providing exceptional child-centred care
Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and empathy
