The role
As the Residential Registered Manager, you will lead and manage the home, ensuring outstanding care and a positive, stable environment for young people. You'll be responsible for operational oversight, compliance with Ofsted regulations, team leadership, and nurturing meaningful relationships with both children and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily operations, ensuring a high quality, nurturing residential environment within a child focused organisation dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for children.
Provide inspirational leadership, mentoring your team to deliver exceptional care.
Ensure full compliance with Ofstead standards and all relevant regulations.
Collaborate effectively with external agencies, families and professionals.
Develop, implement, and regularly review personalised care plans.
Continuously monitor and promote the wellbeing, safety and development of each child.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
A high level of emotional awareness (in self and others).
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with children, families, colleagues and external agencies.
Ability to maintain appropriate routines, boundaries and role model positive behaviours.
Capacity to handle crises and challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
Adaptability and willingness to respond positively to change.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A minimum of 3 years recent experience of an Ofsted Registered Manager in children's residential care.
NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or equivalent (or working towards)
Solid understanding of EBD and relevant childcare legislation.
Exceptional leadership, organisational and decision making skills.
Genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
Full UK Drivers Licence
