Chapter House Day Centre, Maldon

Hours:

Part-time, 15 hours a week, 09:30-14:30

Contract:

Permanent

We are currently recruiting to two positions, please note the below hours:
Role 1 - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 09:30-14:30
Role 2 - Monday, Wednesday and Friday 09:30-14:30

We are looking for individuals who share our values and passion to make a positive difference to people's lives, supporting older people.

As an Older People Support Worker, you will join a dedicated team offering specialist, person-centred support to individuals with decreased mobility, or individuals living with Alzheimer's, dementia and Parkinson's. You'll be delivering a range of tailored activities focused on maintaining independence and encouraging social interaction through both on-site and community-based activities.

To be considered as an Older People Support Worker, you need:


To be passionate about providing a high level of care and support to older people Exceptional listening and communication skills To possess an empathetic approach To be willing to provide personal care Basic IT skills A proactive approach to work and be able to work on your own initiative To be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the work environment

Previous experience in the care industry is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.



Travel required across Essex to attend training, work at other centres, and in the community.
