Project Manager
to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our services.
As the
Older People's Services Manager
, you will lead the planning, delivery, and development of a range of services that support the wellbeing, independence, and inclusion of older adults in Walsall. You will manage and support a team of staff and volunteers, oversee budgets and service quality, and work closely with partners, funders, and the local community.
Our current funding ends in March 2026 however we are seeking to sustain this provision, and we will explore options with the successful candidate.
POSITION: Silver Service Project Manager
HOURS:
37 hours per week Monday - Thursday 9-5pm, Friday 9-4.30pm
SALARY:
27,300 (14.19 per hour)

LOCATION:
Manor Farm Centre and Rushall Centre
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage operational delivery of Silver Service, including weekly activity programmes, outreach, befriending, and information & advice services
Supervise and support service staff, and volunteers
Monitor and evaluate service performance against the National Lottery Community Fund outcomes and KPIs
Develop and implement service improvements and innovations
Build and maintain strong relationships with local health and care providers, local authorities, community organisations and other strategic partners.
Promote the service widely through a variety of methods including social media
Contribute to future funding bids, tenders, and reports to stakeholders and funders
Ensure safeguarding, quality, and compliance standards are met at all times
About You
We're looking for a confident and compassionate leader with:
Proven experience of managing community-based services, preferably with older people
Excellent team leadership, staff supervision, and organisational skills
Knowledge of issues affecting older adults
Strong partnership working, communication, and report-writing abilities
A proactive, solution-focused, and collaborative approach
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
