We are currently seeking an

O&M Field Electrician

to join our photovoltaic projects near Ipswich.



The selected candidate will carry out

preventive and corrective maintenance on photovoltaic installations

in line with the O&M Manual. This includes inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing faults in low-voltage systems, photovoltaic modules, trackers, cabling, and related components.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of photovoltaic installations in accordance with the O&M Manual, including modules, mounting structures, trackers, string combiner boxes (low voltage), cabling, inverters, measuring equipment, and communication systems, using hand tools, measuring instruments, thermal imaging cameras, etc. Diagnose and repair minor faults in low-voltage systems, photovoltaic modules, trackers, cabling, etc., carrying out corrective maintenance tasks as required. Conduct visual inspections of system components, identifying faults and defects, and reporting findings to management. Maintain and inspect electrical components and equipment, including inverters, distribution panels, communication panels, and DC/AC protection panels, in accordance with maintenance manuals and schedules. Inspect and repair wiring, connectors, terminals, and related components. Complete work orders, attendance records, and digital documentation in line with established procedures.

Profile Required:

Education in the electrical field or renewable energy. BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition) certification. JIB Gold Card or equivalent. Additional training as HV Authorised Person will be highly valued. H&S training (First Aid + EMSS Card, CCNSG, CSCS Card, or SMSTS). Minimum of 3 years' previous experience in PV/BESS projects performing similar functions (experience highly valued). * Solid knowledge of PV and BESS plant equipment, technologies, communication architecture, and sensors.
