Job Description


  • Support the O&M offshore wind project development by providing the O&M analysis and OPEX estimates for the whole wind farm including WTG and BoP.
  • Collate, analyse the O&M assumptions and update the OPEX model through all the project decision gates including bidding and FID.
  • Own the O&M assumptions and the OPEX model and ensure continuous implementation of updates from the market, projects and operations to enable best in class modelling.
  • Suggest optimal operational set up and maintenance strategies through assessment of logistics, manning plan, operational base, turbine types, reliability information and recommended operational practices.
  • Generate portfolio overview of O&M performance and OPEX profiles and create benchmarks across other projects and operational wind farms to suggest areas of improvement.
  • Provide modelling and assessment of operational availability and offer estimations and recommendations for cost-performance optimisation.
  • Drive project portfolio optimisation by offering cost assessment and optimal timing on maintenance campaigns and major component exchanges.
  • Collaborate with internal and external peers to capture the latest learnings and ensure the continuous improvement and update of the databases and the modelling tools.
This role will give you the opportunity to be part of the energy transition within Equinor as well as shaping and developing the team in the Operations and Maintenance department within Renewables.   • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mathematics, Engineering or a Commercial based subject along with relevant experience from the energy/power generation/utility business, ideally in O&M Offshore wind.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial modelling and development of modeling tools and processes such as shoreline or similar is desired.
  • Structured mindset with project management skills, analytic approach and ability to understand technical matters and put a commercial aspect to them.
  • Strong communicator with ability to communicate information in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
  • Confident in presenting content to groups of varied seniority and ability to interact effectively in multicultural and diverse groups at different geographical locations.
  • Ability to think out of the box and have the desire to thrive in a space where innovation coexists with operational and cost optimisation.
  • Strong command of English (written and verbal) and knowledge of Scandinavian or other European language is beneficial.
  • Positive, enthusiastic, driven and proactive with forward-thinking philosophy.
