This Duel role will involve working some hours working on the community as a care support worker, and some on call, which will be on a rota basis with two other members of the team.
This role is adaptable to accommodate full or part time hours, depending on your preference.
Pay for the care support worker role starts at 12.60ph to 25.20ph.
We also pay travel time at 12ph and mileage at 35p per mile., ensuring you are kept within the local area, with no unnecessary traveling. There are additional enhanced payments per day for on call purposes which will be discussed at interview.
Care Support Workers
play a vital role in assisting individuals with their daily activities and promoting their independence. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can effectively communicate with clients, understand their needs, and provide the necessary support.
As the on call coordinator
you will be responsible for answering any calls or queries from staff or individuals. Managing staff absences and reallocation of care calls if they arise when you are on call. Maintain accurate records of any conversations outside of office hours.
You will be fully supported in this role by the care manager or deputy care manager, and receive full training, with the option of personal development up to a level 4 if you desire.
All candidates do need to be a car driver, due to the nature of the business, and willing to cover Rhos, Penycae, Ruabon, and the Marchweil areas of Wrexham If required.
Duties
Provide personal care and support to clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, medication management, and personal hygiene.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition through data entry.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and encourage participation.
Uphold confidentiality and respect the dignity of all clients at all times.
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients, families, and other professionals.
Analyse client feedback to improve service delivery and identify areas for enhancement.

Requirements
Proven experience as a Support Worker/Coordinator or in a similar role is preferred, but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is an advantage.
Ability to analyse situations and respond appropriately to client needs.
Excellent phone etiquette for effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
Basic data entry skills for maintaining accurate records.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required meeting the needs of the business on a rota basis.
Relevant qualifications or training in health and social care are beneficial but not mandatory.
