On Call Out Of Hours Helpdesk Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Out of Hours Helpdesk Operator to support our 24-hour service. This is a home-based role working as part of a rota team to provide assistance and escalation support outside normal business hours.

Working Hours:



Monday to Friday

: From 5:00pm until 8am the following morning

Saturday & Sunday

: From 10:00am to the following day
(Exact shift pattern will follow a shared rota with other team members.)

Key Responsibilities:



Act as the first point of contact for out-of-hours calls and emails. Log requests, issues, and emergencies accurately in the helpdesk system. Escalate urgent matters to on-call engineers Maintain clear communication and ensure smooth handovers between shifts. Follow company procedures to ensure a consistent, high-quality service.

Requirements:



Previous helpdesk or customer service experience (preferred but not essential). Strong communication skills and a calm, professional manner. Ability to work independently from home. Good IT skills and familiarity with helpdesk or logging systems. Reliable, punctual, and able to work within a rotating schedule.
