Job Overview



The On the Day Event Manager at Red Event Wedding Fayres is responsible for overseeing the seamless delivery of our wedding fayres. This role involves managing a small team of 2-3 event assistants, coordinating on-site logistics, ensuring the event is set up in line with the agreed site plan, liaising with suppliers, exhibitors and venue staff, overseeing bride & groom registration, and maintaining a high standard throughout the event.

Success in this role requires excellent organisation, confident leadership, strong communication skills, and a calm, proactive approach to problem-solving. The Event Manager plays a key role in upholding Red Event's reputation for friendly, well-run and professional wedding fayres, ensuring a positive experience for suppliers, couples and venue partners.

Please note: Our fayres take place across the North West of England, including Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and Staffordshire.

Specific Event & Training Availability (Essential)



We are currently recruiting an Event Manager to manage:

Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th September 2026

(Wedding Fayre at a Cheshire venue)*

To be considered, applicants

must be available for the following mandatory training dates

:

Sunday 1st March 2026

- On-site training with an experienced Red Event Event Manager (Cheshire)

Friday 20th / Saturday 21st March 2026

- Additional on-site training at a Liverpool venue with the business owner
Availability on

all of the above dates is essential

Roles & ResponsibilitiesPre-Event



Attend online pre-event meetings to discuss updates, logistics, and final event details Prepare and check the event box, ensuring all required materials are included Print on-the-day documents such as job lists, site plans, supplier lists, and signage Carry out a venue visit where required to familiarise yourself with the layout and logistics When available, assist with pre-event venue set-up the day before the fayre

On the Day



Morning (approx. 7:30am - 12:00pm)



Arrive on site and liaise with venue contacts Oversee event set-up in line with the agreed site plan Ensure venue cleanliness and readiness prior to supplier arrival Manage supplier arrival and registration, offering support as needed Oversee registration desk set-up and operations Monitor supplier needs, refreshments, entertainment schedules, and timings Carry out regular floor checks and troubleshoot issues as they arise Collect raffle prizes and manage event paperwork Capture and send photos/videos for social media updates

Event Hours (12:00pm - 3:00/4:00pm)



Oversee bride & groom registration and visitor flow Coordinate the smooth running of the event Manage the event team and delegate tasks as required Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and overall event standards Assist with pack-down and ensure all items are accounted for Complete final checks with the exhibitors/venues before departure Complete a feedback form of how the day went.

Qualifications & Requirements



Previous experience within the events industry Experience managing teams and coordinating staff on-site Confident handling supplier, guest, or venue concerns in a calm, professional and solutions-focused manner. Warm, friendly, and professional manner Able to remain calm, organised, and decisive in a fast-paced live event environment. Excellent communication and customer service skills Highly organised with strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and work under pressure Full UK driving licence and access to a car

Desirable (but not essential):



Degree in Events Management or a related field Relevant industry qualifications
