The role
Are you an experienced Oncology Pharmacist looking to take the next step in your career with more flexibility? We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Oncology Pharmacist to join our specialist, dynamic team, supporting cancer services across Essex.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical pharmacy support to oncology services
Review and verify systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) prescriptions
Ensure compliance with local and national treatment protocols
Support the safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy services
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including pharmacy staff
Contribute to audit, service improvement, and guideline development
Key Skills required
GPhC-registered pharmacist with prior experience in oncology
Knowledge of chemotherapy electronic prescribing systems
Comprehensive knowledge of SACT protocols
Familiarity with BOPA (British Oncology Pharmacy Association) guidelines
Confident in remote working environments with appropriate IT skills
Excellent clinical judgement and attention to detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
