Rachel S Tutoring provides 1:1 and small group tuition to from primary-age to GCSE pupils in maths and English. All lessons are individually planned and bespoke and tailored towards the needs and interests of each and every pupil. As well as academic progress, Rachel S Tutoring nurtures confidence, resilience and a love of learning. We believe that long-term skill and ability comes from positive experiences within the subject.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Tutor to join our educational team who will underpin these core value of the company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the subject that they teach, be inspiring and enjoy working with young people. They will also have be able to work online and use a variety of online teaching methods that are engaging, interesting and support pupil progress. Ideally, they will have some experience with online teaching and group online teaching. The candidate will hold a QTS certificate and have at least two years experience working in UK schools.

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one or small group online tutoring sessions tailored to individual student needs. Develop customised lesson plans that align with the curriculum and address specific learning objectives. Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly. Communicate effectively with students to enhance understanding and retention of material. Support students with special educational needs by employing appropriate teaching strategies. Encourage a positive and nurturing attitude towards learning and build students' confidence in their abilities. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate findings to parents or guardians when necessary.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students. Experience working with young people, demonstrating patience and understanding of their unique learning styles. Knowledge of special education practices is advantageous, and the ability to support diverse learners effectively. Strong organisational skills to manage lesson plans, schedules, and student assessments. Ability to educate in a clear and engaging manner, making complex concepts accessible to all learners. A passion for tutoring and teaching and a commitment to fostering an enriching educational experience for every student.
