On-Site Coordinator Part Time 14 hours per week Thursday & Friday



Main Purpose



Genmed has a consistent track record of winning evidenced by exceptional growth of 700% over the last five years. We have over 200 contracts in 40 NHS Trusts.

We are seeking an On-Site Co-ordinator based at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham. The On-Site Co-ordinator will assist the Service Delivery Manager with the co-ordination of the day-to-day activities and service delivery of the Genmed managed services to ROH.

They will be expected to monitor the ordering of consumables and the receipt of information to ensure that procedures are not postponed due to a Genmed quality failure, thus avoiding service credits.

They will also assist the Service Delivery Manager, and the Divisional Director as required.

Key Accountabilities



To support site staff and the Divisional Director in the effective delivery of the Genmed.me managed services at ROH and day to day account management.

To represent and promote Genmed managed services efficiency and the corporate values at the customer site.

To ensure that all stock is distributed and shelved in a timely manner from delivery.

To carry out cycle-counting and ad-hoc stock-takes.

To rotate stock as appropriate.

To manage all stock within the department in a pro-active manner and flag any over/under consumption.

To ensure that all purchase orders placed by Genmed are authorised in accordance with Trust requirements and that all procedures are adhered to.

To train and support Trust staff in the use of Genmed systems.

To adhere to the reporting system and processes and to effectively manage exceptions.

To liaise and communicate effectively with customer staff at all levels and to be the first line of communication for the resolution of queries raised by them.

To liaise and communicate effectively with supplier and sub-contractor staff.

To liaise and communicate effectively with Genmed staff.

To manage and communicate effectively with the electrical engineering department.

To provide support to all wards, theatres (pre-& post op) with administration and purchasing.

To conduct and support supplier negotiations.

To provide data analysis to the Service Delivery Manager and Divisional Director as requested.

To provide assistance to the management team with clinical trials.

To provide other unspecified assistance on an ad-hoc basis as and when required by the Divisional Director and the senior management team.

Overall customer satisfaction with MSC performance

Efficiency of the MSC purchasing and stock control processes

Level of service credits payable by Genmed.me

There is no line management requirement.

This role requires a large amount of positive and effective interaction with all levels of customers, suppliers and management teams. The site co-ordinator is a Genmed representative on site and as such interaction with the customer and the supplier staff is required to be of the highest professional level. Exceptional levels of customer service are required and as such are key to this position.

Work Environment



The position is based close to the stores or operating theatres. As a result of this it is likely that the incumbent will be required to wear surgical scrubs. There is no manual handling involved with this position and the candidate will not need to hold any special licenses in relation to the same.
