We're looking for a Network Field Service Engineer to join our on-site Managed Services team supporting our team in Preston.
You'll play a key role in maintaining network performance, resolving device incidents, and ensuring that all contractual SLAs are achieved. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role that is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, installation, and maintaining networks to keep them running smoothly.
What You'll Do
Install and configure switches and network equipment.
Set up Juniper Wireless Access Points and switching infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve wired network issues with support from the wider team.
Replace faulty hardware (switches, access points, peripherals) as needed.
Document maintenance, incidents, and changes in the Roc ITSM system.
Participate in an on-call rota for high-priority (P1/P2) incidents.
Liaise with third-party vendors and provide regular updates to customers.
Deliver an exceptional on-site customer experience at all times.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Knowledge of Juniper switching and wireless technologies.
Understanding of LAN cabling best practices.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
Customer-facing experience within an IT support role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
Juniper certification or hands-on experience.
Network security understanding.
Experience with network cabling installation and surveys.
