Rivals Social is a dynamic multi-activity entertainment venue offering adventure golf, bowling, interactive darts, racing simulators, escape rooms, arcades, and a vibrant food & drink experience. We're looking for a versatile

Web Developer & Digital Creative

to take ownership of our websites and digital presence, building high-quality sites from the ground up and ensuring they remain accessible to non-technical team members.

Role Overview

The core focus of this role is the

web creation

, with improvement, and ongoing development of websites across multiple brands also important. You will be responsible for designing new sites, enhancing existing ones, and ensuring they are structured so that content updates can easily be managed by staff without advanced website knowledge.

While we currently use WordPress, we are open to any platform or approach provided the final solution is

intuitive, maintainable, and scalable

. Beyond web development, you will also support digital marketing and design projects to strengthen Rivals' online presence.

Key Responsibilities

Web Development (Primary Focus):



Create websites from scratch, tailored to brand identity and customer needs. Redesign and improve existing webpages to enhance user experience and performance. Choose the most suitable platform for each project (WordPress, custom builds, or other), ensuring handover and management can be done by non-technical staff. Integrate booking systems, payment gateways, and other third-party tools where needed. Optimise sites for speed, security, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.

Digital & Creative (Secondary Focus):



Assist with UI/UX design to improve customer journeys online. Support digital marketing campaigns (SEO, social ads, email marketing, analytics). Create graphics and visuals for web content, social media, and onsite digital displays. Produce simple guides or training for staff to manage day-to-day web content.

Additional (Desirable) Skills:



Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing automation. Photography/videography for campaigns and events. Basic IT support for internal systems (desirable, not essential).
Candidate Profile

Proven experience building and managing websites from the ground up. Ability to improve and modernise existing sites with a focus on usability. Flexible with platforms and tools, with an emphasis on long-term manageability. Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common CMS platforms. Awareness of UI/UX principles and customer-centric design. Creative thinker with some design and digital marketing skills. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain tech simply to non-tech colleagues.

Pay: 36,500.00-40,560.00 per year
