Job Description

Ipswich Town Foundation is currently looking to recruit Casual Coaches for our Open Access Provision.

Our open access sessions deliver high quality football for children of all ages and abilities. From as young as 3 years old - where children can take their first steps into organised football - through to 16 years-old looking to further develop their skill and understanding of the game alongside their grassroots team.

These roles require flexibility, working evenings and weekends with opportunities to deliver across a variety of Open Access programmes for Ipswich Town Foundation.

We are seeking coaches who are highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate to continue their own development while having an ability to embed a love of football across our programmes.

The successful candidates will deliver fun, safe and inclusive learning environments to support the development for all participants.

Ipswich Town Foundation delivers Open Access Sessions every day of the week. Please specify your availability on your application.

JOB ROLE OUTLINE



The role offers the opportunity to work in one or a variety of Open Access sessions delivered by the Foundation, ensuring lifelong memories are created through positive experiences.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



Maintain a flexible approach and provide high levels of engagement at all sessions. Plan, prepare, deliver, and evaluate coaching sessions. Positive role model for all participants. Proactively engage participants to provide the best possible learning environment. Support transition into Football Development pathways where appropriate. Be committed to your continued professional development

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



Ability to communicate with young people and parents effectively Ability to work individually and as part of a team Able to manage large groups effectively and safely Hold FA Introduction to Coaching / Level 1 certification Hold an NGB Level 2 Coaching Qualification (or a willingness to work towards) Hold FA First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications Hold Full driving licence or be able to commute via public transport Ability to use initiative and make decisions

IPSWICH TOWN FOUNDATION RESPONSIBILITIES



Adhere to all policies and procedures including safeguarding, Health & Safety, Behaviour Management, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, Data Protection, and Quality Assurance and follow all policies and procedures within the staff handbook. To maintain a professional attitude and appearance. To report to your Line Manager and attend Ipswich Town Foundation staff meetings and CPD as requested. Any other duties deemed necessary by your Line Manager or a member of the SLT.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES



Will be committed to safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and adults at risk and will promote the welfare of these groups. Will have disclosed any previous convictions, cautions, reprimands, including those that are considered 'spent' as defined by the Rehabilitation Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amended 2013). Will have completed a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check (with children's barred list check). Will keep both FA Safeguarding and FA Emergency First Aid qualifications in date. Drive a proactive safeguarding culture, including supporting accident, incident and near miss reporting processes.
