We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take functional responsibility for Group-level Operational Excellence activities.



This role will provide leadership and support to ensure the effective application of Operational Excellence (OpEx) principles, processes, and tools across our sites, driving continuous improvement and operational capability.


You will have functional ownership of the Accrofab Operating System (AOS), partnering with Site Operational Leads to embed best practices, develop skills, and foster behaviours that deliver sustainable performance improvements. This includes supporting New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) processes to meet site and group-level goals.

Key responsibilities include:



Functional ownership of the Accrofab ''Operating System'' at a Group level including deployment of a monthly Operational Excellence Scorecard continually identifying improvement and support opportunities at site level Work closely with Site Operational Leads to generate Operational Excellence plans, embed learning and management team alignment to the Accrofab Operating System to build operational capability and control Partner with Site Operational Leads to ensure the application of "Standard Diary" effectiveness to embed control into the business, and ensure problems are prioritised and resolved in a timely manner Partner with Site Operational & EHS Leads to ensure all "Operational Control" principles are applied, including the Environment, Health & Safety model, to sustain day-to-day activities, continually identifying improvement opportunities Partner with Site Operational & Quality Leads to ensure quality enhancement plans are in place continually identifying improvement opportunities Lead cross functional projects and lean events to create a "Lean" environment, with wide participation and engagement from the workforce Identify, implement and continually develop 'OpEx Champions' within the sites reaching a spread across White, Yellow and Green Belt proficiency levels to build operational capability Support the deployment and operation of an efficient and effective NPDI process to introduce new products into the business on-time (according to customer requirements), and ensure processes are robust to defect-free products thereafter Develop and support the sites with the necessary cost reduction / avoidance and cashflow action plans to sustain / improve profitability and cashflow Partner with Site Operational Leads to ensure Operational and Financial control is in place to deliver financial "outputs" confirming that Sales, Profit and Cashflow targets will be met in line with commitments Support Site Operations Leads to deliver the Strategy of "Optimising Operational Performance" at a site level (Processes, Footprint, Infrastructure, Technology, Purchasing & Supply Chain) Develop and execute training programs for staff at all levels on operational excellence principles, tools and techniques to build a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation Facilitate change management efforts to support operational and organisational initiatives, ensuring compliance with operational standards, the operating model, regulations and laws Monitor, measure and analyse the effectiveness of new initiatives and processes, adjusting as needed Identify and implement process improvements across the organisation, including but not limited to Operations, Finance, and Customer Service Coaching the businesses on the SIOP process, supporting improvement through the standard diary meetings Support cross-site learning to capitalise on Group resources and improvement initiatives
