Operational Manager - Review and Support Team fixed term for 12 months.
Due to the creation of a new team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to manage and lead a team to deliver the key strategic aims of the organisation and fundamental changes in policy.
The aim of the team is to provide support to those who need it most whilst enabling people to remain as independent as possible. The team will undertake annual statutory reviews, unplanned reviews and work in partnership with the allied Adult Social Work Teams covering the city of Hull.
The post holder will have significant professional leadership skills to lead a service which has a commitment to the principles of personalisation and solution focused interventions. This will involve creating a team culture which will encourage the development of an informed vision and shared learning. Critical to this role will be the influence and ability to motivate and develop team accountability and ownership which will promote an environment of safe and effective practice which will be supported by a strong culture of supervision and support.
You will join an integrated multi-disciplinary team to promote independence and control to enable people to live the lives they choose to lead, whatever their age or stage of life
The post holder will work in partnership with a range of stakeholders including health, housing and mental health to maximise independence and choice.
The successful candidate will have the following:
Degree or equivalent level of experience alongside evidence of continuing professional development and membership of professional body
Professional social work qualification currently registered to Social Work England or occupational therapy registered to HCPC
Management and/or leadership qualification
Substantial experience of delivering, monitoring and planning services at an operational level
Experience of managerial role in social and health care
Experience of working/managing multi-disciplinary teams that promote joint working
Experience of managing a team working to primary legislation e.g. Care Act, MCA, Human Rights Act and an understanding of occupational therapy and sensory support.
