Summary
We are seeking an Operational Manager to join our team in the United Kingdom. This pivotal role will contribute to our mission by overseeing operations that support young people's development and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery & Young People's Support
Oversee daily operations to ensure high standards of care and support for young people.
Coordinate activities, transport, and staffing to ensure appropriate staff-to-young people ratios.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance communication and learning outcomes.
Implement proactive approaches to meet the needs of young people with complex or challenging behaviours.
Monitor and review progress towards individual goals, ensuring personalised support.
Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and positive engagement across all services.
Safeguarding & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with safeguarding policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring daily vehicle, health and safety, food and medication checks are completed and recorded.
Ensure services operate in line with Ofsted regulations and quality frameworks.
Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
Ensure safe return of company vehicles after shifts, checking for damage, cleanliness, and ensuring keys are securely locked away.
People Management & HR
Mentor, supervise, and support staff, providing ongoing guidance and performance management.
Lead on staff recruitment, induction, and onboarding processes.
Maintain accurate HR records, including annual leave, sickness, and disciplinary records.
Promote a culture of professional development and continuous learning within the team.
Ensure staff training is in date and that refreshers are completed as required.
Finance & Resource Management
Monitor and manage budgets effectively, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality.
Oversee the allocation of resources to meet operational and young people's needs.
Report on financial and operational performance to senior management.
Monitor petty cash and company finances used by staff

Strategic Development
Contribute to business planning and long-term strategy development.
Analyse data and produce reports to inform decision-making.
Identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends to strengthen organisational resilience.
Support the Director with bid writing, tenders and funding applications to sustain and expand services.
