We are looking for motivated, people focussed applicants to join the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) as Section Managers across Scotland. In this role you'll manage people, drive performance and help deliver vita public services that support the justice system.

Job description
Section Managers play a key role within COPFS. You will lead
a team of administrators and support staff within one of our
key operational areas, which may include:
o Local Court
o High Court
o Specialist Casework
o Litigation
o Operational Support
You will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service
delivery, managing performance and driving continuous
improvement. This is a people-focussed role where you will
support, motivate and develop your team to meet our goals
and deliver excellent service to the public and our partners.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead and manage a team of administrative staff
o Plan, allocate, and monitor workloads to meet
performance targets
o Support staff development through coaching and
mentoring
o Identify and implement improvements to processes and
procedures
o Ensure compliance with data protection and health &
safety standards
o Build effective relationships with internal and external
stakeholders
o Contribute to the delivery of justice in Scotland through
efficient case management

Experience working in a legal, court or public sector environment, or managing teams in a high-volume operational setting would be
beneficial.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

demonstrate:
o A strong understanding of the Scottish criminal justice system
o Ability to lead and develop high performing teams, with a focus on coaching, performance management and fostering a
positive team culture
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships with internal
and external stakeholders
o Proficiency in using digital tools, with a track record of embracing new technologies to improve service delivery and
operational efficiency
o Ability to lead or contribute to service improvement initiatives, demonstrating initiative, adaptability and a commitment to
continuous improvement
o Experience in setting and monitoring performance targets, managing operational risks and ensuring compliance with quality
assurance standards
