At Ormiston Sandwell Community Academy, we are seeking to appoint an Operational SENDCO (with the ability to teach Spanish) who will work under the direction of the Strategic SENDCO and SLT, on developing and delivering the aims of the Academy Development Plan, particularly relating to specific whole academy remit, quality of education within specific remit and remit related CPD and development .


We are seeking an outstanding candidate to join Team OSCA who has:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the raising standards agenda by working with SLT, other curriculum leaders, Pastoral Leaders, Pastoral Team, postholders, teachers and other stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of progress, academic achievement, curriculum provision and CPD within their area.


OSCA is a welcoming academy which has benefitted from a major re-build and refurbishment programme. This has created exciting, new and well-equipped learning spaces. OSCA is now the first choice academy in our community, and we are full and oversubscribed once again.


We are in very close proximity to Birmingham city centre with excellent transport links by car, bus and train; and are just a few minutes from Junction 2 of the M5.
