Key Responsibilities
Work with customers and internal teams to gather and define both functional and non-functional requirements.
Design, configure, and help develop technical solutions using internal resources and external suppliers.
Support system integrations for new clients and business process changes.
Support and enhance mail and parcel delivery management systems, including track-and-trace tools.
Configure and improve dispatch and delivery systems (e.g. parcel lockers) to meet client needs.
Support and develop address management and route optimisation software.
Help develop and maintain reporting and service management tools in collaboration with ICT and the wider business.
Provide technical support for automated sortation equipment and its links to delivery, finance, and reporting systems.
Collaborate with engineers and suppliers to improve parcel and letter processing automation.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of data from automation, sortation, dispatch, and receipt systems.
Support revenue protection and billing systems.
Provide technical support for Jersey Post's Android-based handheld terminals (HHTs) via SOTI MDM.
Work closely with suppliers for diagnostics, fault resolution, and system enhancements.
Manage technical relationships with software vendors, including for customs integration and automated clearance.
Partner with business stakeholders on digital product management and IT change processes.
Work with internal data teams to design reports, KPIs, and exception tracking.
Ensure data integrity across Jersey Post's systems.
Carry out additional tasks as reasonably requested by managers.
Follow the organisation's Risk Management Policy.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
A good candidate must have:Proficiency in
SQL databases
, data extraction, and analysis.
A working knowledge of
electronics
, including microcontrollers, sensors, and communication protocols.
Familiarity with
web-based APIs
(SOAP, REST) and how they support system integration.
A strong understanding of
computer networking principles
, such as TCP/IP and VPNs.
The ability to design and execute effective
system testing plans

Experience writing detailed
technical specifications
and managing suppliers to deliver enhancements on time and within budget.
Knowledge of
desktop and server operating systems
, including their deployment and ongoing support.
