Coordinate imports from China and Europe via air and sea freight.
Check and manage commercial documentation, including invoices, packing lists and commodity codes.
Book inbound shipments with the warehouse and accurately record all movements on the internal software system.
Pre-calculate import VAT and customs duties.
Negotiate freight rates to ensure cost-effective shipping within budget.
Organise exports to Europe, preparing all required commercial documentation.
Manage daily UK shipments.
Process claims for lost or damaged shipments.
Check, approve and reconcile import and export invoices, raising and managing disputes where required.
Purchasing & Stock Management
Raise, input and process purchase orders as requested.
Order stationery and maintain minimum stock levels.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records.
Negotiate supplier credit limits and payment terms.
Create and maintain part numbers, product records and Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the company system.
Maintain and update sales price lists to reflect new products and changes.
Prepare reports for internal departments as required.
Support the warehouse and workshop with stock and goods-in queries, liaising with suppliers where necessary.
Produce labels for warehouse and workshop use as required
