Hue House is a well-established business in Orpington, designing, handcrafting and installing bespoke shading and interiors solutions for homeowners, designers and architects across the South East. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship, detail and service, we've supported clients for more than 60 years.
As the business continues to grow, we are now looking for a proactive part-time Operations Assistant to be the organisational heart of our business, helping to bring calm control to our studio and day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Managing Director and Operations Manager.
You'll be our behind-the-scenes organiser, the person who keeps everything moving, from appointments and quotes to schedules, systems, suppliers and client experience.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Scheduling fitting/installation appointments and keeping the team's workroom diary up to date
Organising materials, updating client records, managing quotes and confirming timelines
Keeping track of supplier orders, payment links, expenses and financial paperwork
Supporting key operations such as invoicing, processing payroll/admin data, and keeping the showroom tidy and well-presented
Ownership of the main inbox prioritising, forwarding and calmly following up on tasks
Taking payments and placing supplier orders with care and accuracy
Publishing pre-scheduled social media updates (e.g. Instagram stories or case study highlights)
Coordinating with our SEO partner, updating our website with client reviews and project stories
Administering key documentation ie. health and safety, contracts, and staff records
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a highly organised, structured and detail loving person who enjoys being the calm in a busy, creative team.
Minimum?3?years' experience in an administrative, operational or finance support roles.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and on time.
Proficiency in?Microsoft?Office?(Excel,?Word,?Outlook), familiarity with accounting software?(Xero?preferred) and a willingness to learn new systems and use AI.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with professional attention to tone and detail.
Experience working in a small business, creative studio or trade environment desirable.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
